Justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court are deadlocked over or whether to discipline one of their own. The state Judicial Council has accused one of them of violating the ethics code by putting one of his colleagues in a chokehold during an argument over a controversial ruling. But all the justices watched it happen so how can they be impartial judges in the matter? One justice has already recused herself. The aggressor and the victim can't sit on the case. If one more Justice does that, then there can't be a quorum.

Dubai The new UAE Fire and Life Safety Code may be revised to prohibit non fire-rated cladding panels on high-rise towers to reflect Dubai and Sharjah municipal flammable panel bans, Gulf News has learned. Disney profits up on theme parks

Walt Disney's quarterly profits have beaten analyst expectations, despite the losses sustained by the studio's epic flop John Carter.

Net income in the second quarter rose 21% to $1.1bn (£681m) from the same period last year.

Revenues at its parks and resorts jumped 10%, driven by the US parks as well as those in Tokyo and Hong Kong.
